Product Description

Product Name: Zudicort 15g Cream

Product Form: Cream

Pack Size: 15g

Manufactured By: Nabiqasim Pharma

Used For:

Zudicort Cream contains clobetasol propionate, a very potent topical corticosteroid. It is used to treat various skin conditions, including:

  • Severe psoriasis
  • Severe eczema
  • Dermatitis
  • Lichen planus
  • Lupus erythematosus
  • Other inflammatory skin disorders that do not respond to less potent steroids

Clobetasol works by reducing inflammation, itching, and redness associated with these skin conditions.

Side Effects:

While Zudicort Cream can be effective in treating severe skin conditions, it may cause some side effects, including:

  • Burning, stinging, itching, or redness at the application site
  • Skin thinning or atrophy
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne
  • Hair growth on treated areas
  • Skin discoloration
  • Folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles)
  • Contact dermatitis

More serious side effects are rare but can occur with prolonged use, including:

  • Adrenal suppression
  • Cushing's syndrome (symptoms include weight gain, fatigue, muscle weakness, and high blood pressure)
  • Hyperglycemia (increased blood sugar levels)

If you experience any severe side effects or signs of an allergic reaction (such as rash, itching/swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing), seek medical attention immediately.

Precautions:

Before using Zudicort Cream, consider the following precautions:

  • Allergies: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies to clobetasol or other corticosteroids.
  • Medical History: Share your medical history with your healthcare provider, especially if you have a history of skin infections, diabetes, or immune system problems.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk, so consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
  • Application: Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area as directed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily. Avoid applying to the face, groin, or underarms unless directed by your doctor. Do not use more frequently or for longer than prescribed.
  • Children: Use with caution in children, as they may be more sensitive to the effects of topical corticosteroids. Long-term use can affect their growth and development.
  • Infection: Do not use this medication if you have any untreated skin infections. Inform your doctor if the condition persists or worsens after a few days of treatment.

Always follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider and the product's packaging to ensure the best results and to minimize the risk of side effects. If you have any concerns or questions about using Zudicort Cream, consult with your healthcare provider.
