Used For:
Voltral Suppositories contain diclofenac sodium, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). These suppositories are used to:
- Relieve pain, including pain from conditions such as arthritis, muscle pain, and back pain.
- Reduce inflammation and swelling associated with various conditions.
- Treat fever and menstrual pain.
The rectal route allows for the drug to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream, providing relief when oral administration is not suitable or effective.
Side Effects:
Common side effects of Voltral Suppositories may include:
- Rectal irritation or discomfort
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Dizziness or headache
Less common but serious side effects may include:
- Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers, which may present as black, tarry stools or vomiting blood
