Used For:

Famciclovir is an antiviral medication used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses, including:

• Herpes zoster (shingles)
• Genital herpes (initial and recurrent outbreaks)
• Cold sores (herpes labialis)
• Herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients

It works by slowing the growth and spread of the virus, helping reduce symptoms and speed up healing, but it does not cure herpes infections.

Side Effects:
