Used For:

  • Prevents and treats nausea and vomiting

  • Commonly used after surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation

  • Blocks serotonin (5-HT3 receptors) that trigger vomiting

  • Used in pregnancy-related nausea (with doctor’s advice)

  • Available as tablet, dispersible tablet, injection, oral solution

Side Effects:

  • Headache, dizziness

  • Constipation

  • Fatigue

  • Rare: allergic reactions, heart rhythm changes (QT prolongation)

Precaution:
