This combination medication is used to help control blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It works by:

• Ertugliflozin (SGLT2 Inhibitor): Helps the kidneys remove glucose from the bloodstream through urine.
• Sitagliptin (DPP-4 Inhibitor): Increases insulin release and decreases glucose production in the liver.

Side Effects:

• Common:

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Increased urination
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea

• Serious:

  • Ketoacidosis (serious condition with nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and difficulty breathing)
  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) when used with insulin or sulfonylureas
