Product Description

Product Name: Teardrop Eye Drops 0.3%+0.4% 5ml

Product Form: Drops

Pack Size: 5ml

Manufactured By: Hudson Pharma

Used For:

  • Pharmaceuticals: PG is used as a solvent in oral, injectable, and topical medications. It helps in dissolving drugs that are not easily soluble in water.
  • Cosmetics and Personal Care Products: Commonly found in moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, and lotions due to its hydrating properties.
  • Food Additive: Propylene glycol is classified as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA when used in small amounts. It is used as a preservative, thickener, or humectant in food and beverages.
  • E-liquids: It is used as a base liquid in e-cigarettes and vaping products because it can create vapor when heated.

Side Effects:

  • Skin Irritation: Some people may experience allergic reactions or irritation when using products containing PG, leading to rashes, redness, or itching.
  • Gastrointestinal Issues: Large amounts of PG in foods or medications can cause nausea or upset stomach.
  • Respiratory Irritation: Inhalation of PG vapors in high concentrations (e.g., in e-cigarettes) can cause throat irritation or coughing.
  • Toxicity: When consumed in excessive amounts, propylene glycol can be toxic, particularly in individuals with compromised kidney function or in very high doses.

Precautions:

  • Allergies: If you have a history of allergies to penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics, you should not take this combination.
  • Renal Function: Piperacillin and tazobactam are primarily eliminated through the kidneys, so dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with kidney disease.
  • Liver Function: Care is needed in patients with liver disease, as both piperacillin and tazobactam can affect liver function.
  • Gastrointestinal Health: Patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis, should use this drug with caution.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Piperacillin and tazobactam should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risks. Consult your doctor before using it in these cases.
  • Drug Interactions: Piperacillin and tazobactam may interact with other medications, particularly those affecting kidney function (e.g., diuretics, NSAIDs). Close monitoring is required for these patients.
