Used For:
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used primarily to treat:

• High blood pressure (hypertension): Helps reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
• Cardiovascular risk reduction: Lowers the risk of heart attacks or strokes in patients at high cardiovascular risk.
• Management of certain kidney conditions: Associated with diabetes or hypertension.

• Dizziness or lightheadedness (especially after standing up).
• Fatigue or weakness.
• Nausea.

Less common but more serious side effects:

• Low blood pressure (hypotension).
• Increased potassium levels (hyperkalemia), leading to symptoms like muscle weakness or irregular heartbeat.
