Used For:

  • Overactive Bladder (OAB): Solifenacin is used to treat symptoms of an overactive bladder, such as frequent urination, urgency (strong, sudden need to urinate), and urge incontinence (leakage of urine).
  • Bladder Control Issues: It helps to relax the bladder muscles, reducing the number of bathroom trips and accidents associated with an overactive bladder.

Side Effects:

  • Common Side Effects:
    • Dry mouth
    • Constipation
    • Blurred vision
    • Headache
    • Dizziness
    • Stomach pain or discomfort
  • Less Common:
    • Urinary retention (difficulty emptying the bladder)
    • Nausea
    • Indigestion
  • Serious Side Effects:
    • Confusion or hallucinations (rare)
    • Severe allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, lips, or throat, or difficulty breathing (very rare)
    • Signs of severe urinary retention or difficulty urinating

Precautions:
