  • Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH): Fades dark acne scars

  • Severe Sun Damage: Reverses deep-set discoloration

Side Effects:

  • Redness/Peeling (tretinoin-induced cell turnover)

  • Skin Thinning (prolonged steroid use)

  • Ochronosis (blue-black pigmentation with long-term HQ misuse)

Precautions:

  • Prescription-Only: HQ >2% requires medical oversight

  • Sun Avoidance: *Strict SPF 50+* use to prevent rebound darkening
