Used For:

  • Major Depressive Disorder: Helps alleviate symptoms of depression, such as persistent sadness, loss of interest, and fatigue.
  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Reduces symptoms of anxiety, including excessive worry, restlessness, and irritability.
  • Panic Disorder: Can be used to treat panic attacks and associated symptoms.

Side Effects:

  • Common Side Effects:

    • Nausea
    • Insomnia or sleep disturbances
    • Fatigue
    • Dry mouth
    • Dizziness
    • Increased sweating

  • Less Common Side Effects:

    • Sexual dysfunction (e.g., reduced libido, delayed ejaculation)

Precautions:
