Used For:

1. Hemophilia A Treatment:
   • Control and prevention of bleeding episodes.
   • Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes.
   • Management of bleeding during surgical procedures.
2. Acute Bleeding Episodes:
   • Effective in treating joint, muscle, and other soft tissue bleeding in patients with FVIII deficiency.

Side Effects:

1. Common Side Effects:
   • Headache.
   • Nausea.
   • Fever or chills.
   • Injection site reactions (redness, swelling, or pain).
2. Serious Side Effects:
   • Development of Inhibitors:
     • Neutralizing antibodies that reduce the effectiveness of Factor VIII therapy.
   • Allergic Reactions:
     • Rash, itching, difficulty breathing, or anaphylaxis (rare but serious).
   • Thromboembolic events (rare).

Precautions:

1. Monitoring:
   • Regular assessment of FVIII levels during treatment.
