Used For:

• Rifaxa Tablets are used to treat certain types of bacterial infections, including traveler's diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D), and hepatic encephalopathy. The active ingredient, Rifaximin, is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

Side Effects:

• Common side effects may include nausea, flatulence, stomach pain, headache, and dizziness.
• Less common side effects can include fatigue, fever, and peripheral edema (swelling of the limbs).
