Used For:

  • Treats nasal congestion (due to colds, sinusitis, or allergies)

  • Relieves runny nose, sneezing, and itchy/watery eyes (due to hay fever or allergic rhinitis)

  • Helps reduce sinus pressure

  • Pseudoephedrine (Decongestant): Shrinks swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing congestion.

  • Carbinoxamine (Antihistamine): Blocks histamine to relieve allergy symptoms like sneezing and itching.

Side Effects:

  • Common:

    • Drowsiness or dizziness

    • Dry mouth or throat

    • Increased heart rate (due to pseudoephedrine)

    • Insomnia or restlessness

  • Serious (Seek medical help):

    • High blood pressure or irregular heartbeat

    • Severe drowsiness or confusion

    • Difficulty urinating (especially in prostate issues)

    • Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

Precautions:
