Used For:
Misoprostol is primarily used for preventing stomach ulcers in patients who take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) regularly. It is also used in obstetrics and gynecology to induce labor, manage postpartum bleeding, and, in combination with other medications, to induce medical abortion.
Side Effects:
