Product Description
Product Name: Prolicap 3% Anti Hair Loss & Hair Growth Serum 60ml
Product Form: Serum
Pack Size: 60ml
Manufactured By: Montis
Used For:
- Hair Regrowth: Minoxidil is primarily used to treat hair loss, particularly androgenic alopecia (pattern baldness) in both men and women. It can be applied to the scalp to stimulate hair growth.
- Treatment of Hair Thinning: It is also used to address thinning hair, primarily on the crown of the head, and to help slow hair loss progression.
- Topical Treatment: Minoxidil is usually available as a topical solution (liquid or foam) and is applied directly to the affected area on the scalp.
Side Effects:
While Minoxidil is generally well-tolerated, some people may experience side effects, including:
- Scalp Irritation: Itching, redness, dryness, or flaking of the scalp.
- Unwanted Facial Hair Growth: In women, there may be hair growth in areas other than the scalp (such as the forehead or face), especially if the solution drips or is not carefully applied.
- Dizziness or Lightheadedness: Some users may feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up quickly.
- Chest Pain or Rapid Heartbeat: Rarely, some individuals may experience heart palpitations or chest discomfort.
- Swelling of Hands or Feet: Minoxidil may cause fluid retention, leading to swelling in the extremities.
- Weight Gain: Sudden, unexplained weight gain can occur in some cases.
- Initial Hair Shedding: It’s common for users to experience increased hair shedding when starting Minoxidil. This typically occurs during the first few weeks to months and is usually a sign that the treatment is beginning to work, as old hair is shed to make room for new growth.
Precautions:
Before using Minoxidil, it's important to take the following precautions:
- Consult Your Doctor: If you have any heart conditions, such as heart disease, or are taking medications that affect your heart or blood pressure, consult your doctor before using Minoxidil.
- Avoid Contact with Eyes: Minoxidil should be used carefully to avoid contact with the eyes. If the solution gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Do Not Use on Broken or Irritated Skin: Minoxidil should not be applied to any areas of the scalp that are irritated, red, inflamed, or infected.
- Use Only as Directed: Overuse of Minoxidil (more than the recommended dosage) does not improve results and can increase the risk of side effects.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Minoxidil is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless directed by a healthcare provider.
- Stop if Side Effects Occur: If you experience severe side effects, such as chest pain, rapid heartbeat, or dizziness, stop using Minoxidil and contact a healthcare professional immediately.
- Be Patient: Minoxidil can take several months to show noticeable results, so patience is required. It may take 4-6 months of consistent use to see visible improvements.
