Used For:

This combination contains Estradiol Valerate (Estrogen) & Norgestrel (Progestin) and is used for:

• Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT):
  • Treating menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness).
  • Preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
• Birth Control (in some formulations).
• Regulating menstrual cycles & treating hormonal imbalances.
• Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) management.
• Endometriosis treatment to reduce pain and regulate cycles.

Side Effects:

• Common:

  • Nausea, bloating, headache.
  • Breast tenderness.
  • Mood changes, depression.
  • Weight gain or fluid retention.
  • Irregular bleeding or spotting.

• Serious (rare but possible):

  • Blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism).
  • High blood pressure & stroke risk.
  • Increased risk of breast & endometrial cancer (long-term use).
  • Liver issues (yellowing of skin/eyes, abdominal pain).

Precautions:

• Avoid in smokers over 35 (higher clot risk).
• Not for women with a history of breast cancer or blood clots.
• Use cautiously in high blood pressure & heart disease patients.
