Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML):
- Indicated for adults with chronic, accelerated, or blast-phase CML who are resistant or intolerant to other TKIs or have the T315I mutation.

Philadelphia Chromosome-Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ ALL):
- Indicated for adults with Ph+ ALL resistant or intolerant to prior TKI therapy.

Serious Side Effects:
- Cardiovascular Events: High risk of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke.
- Hypertension: Elevated blood pressure is common and must be managed.
- Liver Toxicity: May cause elevations in liver enzymes or severe liver damage.
- Pancreatitis: Increased levels of pancreatic enzymes.
- Bleeding: Risk of severe bleeding in some patients.
- Myelosuppression: Low blood cell counts (anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia).
Precautions:

Before Starting Ponatinib:
- Inform your doctor about any history of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or blood clot disorders.
- Baseline testing for heart function, liver function, and pancreatic enzymes is essential.

- Regular monitoring of blood pressure, liver function, pancreatic enzymes, and blood counts.
- Take steps to manage high blood pressure or cholesterol levels to reduce cardiovascular risks.
- Avoid use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Effective contraception is advised during and after treatment (for 3 weeks post-treatment).
