Side Effects:

Cisplatin is associated with significant side effects, which vary in severity:

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea and vomiting (severe; often requires antiemetic medications)
• Kidney toxicity (nephrotoxicity): Can cause kidney damage; hydration and protective agents (e.g., amifostine) are often used.
