Used For:

Glimepiride and Pioglitazone are used together in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea, works by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin. Pioglitazone improves insulin sensitivity, helping the body respond better to insulin. This combination helps manage blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient.

Side Effects:

Common side effects of Glimepiride may include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), weight gain, and nausea. Pioglitazone may cause weight gain, edema (swelling), and an increased risk of heart failure. Long-term use of Pioglitazone has also been associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer.

Precautions:
