Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC):
- Approved for first-line treatment of NSCLC with EGFR exon 19 deletions or exon 21 (L858R) substitution mutations.
- Treatment of NSCLC with EGFR T790M mutation following progression on prior EGFR-targeted therapy.

- Diarrhea
- Rash (acne-like or dry skin)
- Nail changes (brittle, tender nails)
- Mouth sores (stomatitis)
- Fatigue
- Decreased appetite

Serious Side Effects:
- Interstitial lung disease (ILD)/Pneumonitis: Can cause severe or life-threatening lung inflammation.
- Cardiac toxicity: Risk of QT prolongation or heart failure.
- Severe skin reactions: Such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome.
- Eye disorders: Keratitis or blurred vision.
- Myelosuppression: Low white blood cell, platelet, or red blood cell counts.
Precautions:

Before Starting Osimertinib:
- Ensure genetic testing confirms the presence of EGFR mutations.
- Inform your healthcare provider about any heart conditions, lung issues, or liver problems.

During Treatment:
- Regular monitoring of liver function, heart function (e.g., ECG), and blood cell counts.
- Avoid pregnancy during treatment and for at least 6 weeks after the last dose (for females). Males with partners of childbearing potential should use contraception during treatment and for 4 months after.
- Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as it may interact with osimertinib metabolism.

- Signs of heart problems (e.g., swelling in ankles, fatigue, irregular heartbeat).
