Side Effects:

  • Common: Bleeding (nose/gums), bruising

  • Serious: GI hemorrhage, intracranial bleeding

  • Rare: TTP (blood disorder), severe rash

Precautions:

  • Stop 5-7 days before surgery (bleeding risk)

  • Monitor with PPIs (omeprazole reduces efficacy)
