Used For:

Nesogen capsules typically contain omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that is used to:

  • Treat Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Reduces acid production in the stomach, helping to relieve symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, and esophagitis.
  • Manage Peptic Ulcers: Aids in healing ulcers in the stomach or duodenum by reducing stomach acid levels.
  • Treat Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: A condition characterized by excessive acid production due to tumors in the pancreas or duodenum.
  • Prevent and Treat NSAID-Induced Ulcers: Reduces the risk of ulcers in patients taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for chronic pain or inflammation.
