Used for

  • Depression: Helps improve mood and emotional stability.
  • Anxiety Disorders: Used for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety, and panic disorder.
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Reduces obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.

Side Effects

  • Common: Nausea, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness.
  • Less Common: Increased sweating, insomnia, decreased libido, delayed ejaculation.
  • Serious (Rare): Suicidal thoughts (especially in young adults), serotonin syndrome (confusion, rapid heart rate, fever), withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly.

Precautions
