Severe Respiratory Tract Infections:
- Hospital-acquired pneumonia
- Community-acquired pneumonia
- Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Complicated Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Effective for serious infections like cellulitis or abscesses requiring hospitalization.
- Intra-abdominal Infections: Used in treating complicated intra-abdominal infections, including peritonitis.
- Complicated Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): For severe or resistant cases requiring intravenous therapy.
- Other Serious Bacterial Infections: Sometimes used when other antibiotics are ineffective, particularly in cases of drug-resistant bacteria.
Side Effects:
