Respiratory Tract Infections:
- Community-acquired pneumonia
- Acute bacterial sinusitis
- Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Used to treat complicated skin infections, including cellulitis and abscesses.
- Intra-abdominal Infections: Effective for complicated infections within the abdominal cavity, such as peritonitis.
- Complicated Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Prescribed for severe or resistant urinary tract infections.
- Other Serious Bacterial Infections: Sometimes used when other antibiotics are ineffective or in cases of drug-resistant bacteria.
Side Effects:
