Used For:

  1. Respiratory Tract Infections:
    • Community-acquired pneumonia
    • Acute bacterial sinusitis
    • Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
  2. Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Used to treat complicated skin infections, including cellulitis and abscesses.
  3. Intra-abdominal Infections: Effective for complicated infections within the abdominal cavity, such as peritonitis.
  4. Complicated Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Prescribed for severe or resistant urinary tract infections.
  5. Other Serious Bacterial Infections: Sometimes used when other antibiotics are ineffective or in cases of drug-resistant bacteria.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  1. Nausea or Vomiting

Serious but rare side effects:
