Used For:

Misar H 80/12.5mg Tablets are a combination medication containing two active ingredients: Telmisartan (80 mg) and Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg). This combination is used primarily to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).

  1. Telmisartan (80 mg):

    • Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps to relax blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more smoothly and lowering blood pressure.

  2. Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg):

    • Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic (water pill) that works by increasing the amount of urine you make, which helps your body get rid of extra salt and water. This effect helps to lower blood pressure.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Weakness
  • Electrolyte disturbances (e.g., low potassium levels)
  • Increased blood sugar levels
  • Increased urination
  • Blurred vision

Serious side effects (seek medical attention if these occur):

Some medications may interact with Misar H Tablets, especially other blood pressure medications, corticosteroids, lithium, digoxin, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
