Used For:

Misar-AM 40mg/10mg Tablets are a combination medication containing two active ingredients: Telmisartan (40 mg) and Amlodipine (10 mg). This combination is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension).

  1. Telmisartan (40 mg):

    • An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps to relax blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and lowering blood pressure.
  2. Amlodipine (10 mg):

    • A calcium channel blocker (CCB) that helps to relax and widen blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Swelling of the ankles or feet (edema)
  • Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingling feeling)
  • Fatigue
  • Headache

Serious side effects (seek medical attention if these occur):

  • Severe dizziness or fainting
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Persistent nausea or vomiting

Precautions:
