Used For

Metrozine 200mg (metronidazole) is used for:

  • Bacterial Infections: Treats infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, including infections of the stomach, skin, joints, and respiratory tract.
  • Protozoal Infections: Effective against certain parasitic infections such as amoebiasis and giardiasis.
  • Bacterial Vaginosis: Used to treat infections in the vaginal area.
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID): Helps manage PID in combination with other antibiotics.
  • Dental Infections: Sometimes prescribed for dental abscesses or gum infections.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Metrozine 200mg may include:

  • Nausea or Vomiting
  • Diarrhea or Constipation
  • Metallic Taste in the mouth
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Dizziness or Headache

Serious but less common side effects include:
