Used For:

  • Respiratory Tract Infections: Treats bacterial infections like bronchitis, pneumonia, and sinusitis.
  • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Effective for bacterial skin infections.
  • Strep Throat: Used to treat throat infections caused by bacteria.
  • Helicobacter pylori Infection: In combination with other medications, it treats H. pylori infections, which can cause stomach ulcers.
  • Ear Infections: Can treat middle ear infections (otitis media).
  • Mycobacterium Avium Complex (MAC): Prevents and treats infections in people with HIV or weakened immune systems.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • Stomach pain or discomfort.
