Used For:

• Treats parasitic infections like intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis (river blindness)

• Used for scabies and head lice (oral or topical)

• Effective against roundworms, mites, and other parasites

• Sometimes used off-label for rosacea and certain viral infections (under medical guidance)

• Works by paralyzing and killing parasites

Side Effects:

• Dizziness, nausea

• Rash, itching (especially in skin parasite treatment)

• Muscle pain, diarrhea

• Rare: low blood pressure, seizures (in high doses or misuse)

Precaution:

• Avoid in children under 15 kg unless prescribed

• Use caution in patients with liver impairment

• Take on an empty stomach with water for best absorption
