Used For:

  1. Lowers high eye pressure in conditions like glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

  2. Increases the outflow of fluid from the eye, reducing intraocular pressure (IOP).

  3. Helps prevent vision loss due to optic nerve damage.

  4. Also used cosmetically to enhance eyelash growth (brand: Latisse).

  5. Available as an ophthalmic solution (eye drops).

Side Effects:

  • Eye redness or irritation

  • Darkening of the eyelid skin or iris (long-term use)

  • Eyelash changes (growth, thickening, darkening)

  • Dry eyes or watery eyes

  • Blurred vision or eye discomfort

Precautions:
