Used For:

• Treatment of serious bacterial infections, especially those caused by gram-negative bacteria, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia).
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs).
  • Intra-abdominal infections.
  • Bone and joint infections.
  • Sepsis and bloodstream infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Tuberculosis (second-line therapy in multidrug-resistant TB).

• Effective against bacteria resistant to other aminoglycosides like gentamicin or tobramycin.
