Used For:
Indazole Capsules 20mg contain Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for:
- Treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus
- Managing peptic ulcers (stomach or duodenal ulcers)
- Erosive esophagitis, caused by damage to the esophagus due to stomach acid
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition involving excessive acid production
- Reducing the risk of gastric ulcers associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use
- Treating H. pylori infection in combination with antibiotics, as part of a regimen for eliminating the bacteria
Side Effects:
Common side effects of Indazole Capsules may include:
- Headache
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Stomach pain or bloating
- Dizziness
Serious but rare side effects may include:
- Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)
- Severe diarrhea, especially if accompanied by stomach pain or blood in the stool (possible sign of C. difficile infection)
- Bone fractures (with long-term use)
- Low magnesium levels, which can cause symptoms such as muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat, or seizures
