Used For:

Cefixime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections (like bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections, ear infections, sinusitis, and certain types of throat infections like tonsillitis. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, helping the immune system to eliminate the infection.

Side Effects:

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, gas, and mild skin rashes. Less common but more severe side effects can include allergic reactions, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), severe skin reactions, or Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, which can be life-threatening.

Precautions:
