Used For:

• Type 2 Diabetes Management – Helps control blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.
• Glibenclamide (Sulfonylurea): Stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin.
• Metformin HCl (Biguanide): Reduces liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

Side Effects:

• Common:

  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Stomach discomfort or bloating
  • Dizziness or headache

• Serious (Less Common):

  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) – Sweating, shakiness, confusion, dizziness
  • Lactic Acidosis (Metformin-related) – Symptoms: Weakness, muscle pain, breathing difficulty
  • Liver or kidney problems – Signs include yellowing of skin, dark urine
  • Allergic reactions – Rash, itching, swelling
