Used For:

• Treatment of bacterial infections in the eye or ear, particularly when inflammation is also present.
• Contains gentamicin (0.3%), an antibiotic that kills bacteria, and hydrocortisone (1%), a steroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching.

Side Effects:

• Temporary stinging or burning at the application site.
• Redness or irritation in the eye or ear.
• Prolonged use may cause increased eye pressure or hearing problems (when used in the ear).
• Rarely, can lead to allergic reactions.

Precautions:

• Avoid use if allergic to gentamicin, hydrocortisone, or other aminoglycosides.
• For external use only—do not ingest or use for long-term treatment without a doctor’s supervision.
• Use with caution if you have a history of glaucoma, cataracts, hearing problems, or kidney disease.
