Used For:

  • Treatment of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), sinusitis, and skin infections.
  • Contains levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone class that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication and killing the bacteria.

Side Effects:

  • Nausea or vomiting.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Headache or dizziness.
  • Rarely, may cause tendonitis, tendon rupture, or allergic reactions.

Precautions:

  • Avoid use if allergic to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.
  • Consult your doctor if you have a history of tendon disorders, kidney disease, or seizures.
  • Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding, under medical supervision.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure as it may increase sensitivity to sunlight.
  • Drink plenty of fluids and avoid taking with antacids or supplements containing magnesium or aluminum, as they can reduce the absorption of levofloxacin
