Used For:

Fansidar is a combination medication containing sulfadoxine (500 mg) and pyrimethamine (25 mg). It is primarily used for the treatment and prevention of malaria, particularly in areas where malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum is prevalent. This medication works by inhibiting the growth of the malaria parasite in the blood.
