Used For:

  1. Hypothyroidism:

    • To replace or supplement thyroid hormone in individuals with an underactive thyroid gland.
    • Helps restore normal metabolism and energy levels.
  2. Thyroid Hormone Suppression Therapy:

    • Used to suppress thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in conditions such as thyroid nodules, goiters, or certain types of thyroid cancer.
  3. Congenital Hypothyroidism:

    • To ensure proper growth and brain development in infants with thyroid hormone deficiency.
  4. Post-Thyroidectomy Therapy:

    • To maintain normal thyroid hormone levels after thyroid gland removal.
