Used For:
Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAID used for:
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis pain relief
- Ankylosing spondylitis (spinal inflammation)
- Gout-related pain and inflammation
- Post-surgical pain and swelling (e.g., dental procedures)
Side Effects:
- Stomach pain, nausea, or heartburn
- Dizziness or headache
- High blood pressure
- Fluid retention and swelling
- Serious (rare but possible): Increased risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney damage, or stomach ulcers
Precautions:
- Not recommended for people with heart disease, stroke history, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
- Avoid long-term use without a doctor’s supervision.
- Take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
