Used For:

• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Often used to treat bladder infections, kidney infections, or prostatitis.
• Respiratory Infections: It can treat infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, or sinusitis.
• Gastrointestinal Infections: Used for conditions like traveler’s diarrhea or gastroenteritis caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Can be used for infections of the skin, wounds, or soft tissue.
• Bone and Joint Infections: It is sometimes used for treating osteomyelitis (bone infection).
• Sexually Transmitted Infections: Ciprofloxacin is sometimes used to treat gonorrhea.
• Anthrax: It is one of the recommended treatments for anthrax exposure, both for inhalation and cutaneous types.
