  • Diarrhea: Antibiotics like cefpodoxime can cause diarrhea. If severe or persistent diarrhea occurs, especially if it is bloody or watery, consult your healthcare provider.
  • Kidney and Liver Function: Cefpodoxime is excreted through the kidneys and metabolized by the liver. Monitor kidney and liver function if you have pre-existing conditions affecting these organs.
  • Drug Interactions: Inform your healthcare provider of all medications and supplements you are taking, as cefpodoxime can interact with other drugs, including anticoagulants and certain other antibiotics.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Cefpodoxime is generally considered safe during pregnancy but should be used under medical supervision. It also passes into breast milk, so consult your healthcare provider if breastfeeding.
  • Dosage: Adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration instructions. Overuse or misuse of antibiotics can lead to reduced effectiveness and increased risk of resistance.
