Product Description

Product Name: Coversyl Tablets 4mg

Product Form: Tablets

Pack Size: 10's

Manufactured By: Servier

Used For:

  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Coversyl is used to lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.
  • Heart Failure: It may be prescribed to patients with heart failure to improve heart function and reduce symptoms.
  • Prevention of Cardiovascular Events: In patients with stable coronary artery disease, Coversyl can help prevent heart-related complications, especially in those with a history of heart attack or revascularization procedures.

Perindopril works by inhibiting the action of the ACE enzyme, reducing the production of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels. This relaxation of blood vessels helps to lower blood pressure, improve blood flow, and decrease the workload on the heart.

Side Effects:

  • Common side effects may include:

    • Dizziness or lightheadedness
    • Dry cough
    • Fatigue
    • Nausea

    • Low blood pressure (hypotension)

  • Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels may be necessary during treatment.
  • If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor, as ACE inhibitors like Perindopril are not recommended during pregnancy.
  • Do not stop taking Coversyl abruptly without consulting your healthcare provider, as it may cause a rebound increase in blood pressure.
  • Report any severe side effects or unusual symptoms to your healthcare provider immediately.
