Product Description

Product Name: Coversam Tablets 8/5mg

Product Form: Tablets

Pack Size: 10's

Manufactured By: Servier

Used For:

  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Coversam is primarily used to treat high blood pressure, helping to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.
  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): It may also be prescribed for patients with stable coronary artery disease to reduce the risk of heart problems.
  • Perindopril works by inhibiting the action of the ACE enzyme, reducing the production of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels. By relaxing blood vessels, it lowers blood pressure and reduces strain on the heart.
  • Amlodipine relaxes the blood vessels by blocking calcium channels in the smooth muscle cells, leading to lowered blood pressure and reduced chest pain (angina).
