Used For:

  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Co-Olesta AM is primarily used to treat high blood pressure, helping to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications such as heart attack and stroke.
  • Hyperlipidemia (High Cholesterol): It is also used to lower cholesterol levels in patients at risk of heart disease.
  • Prevention of Cardiovascular Events: The combination helps in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease or at high risk.
  • Atorvastatin reduces LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides in the blood while increasing HDL (good cholesterol). It works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a central role in cholesterol production in the liver.
  • Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood, thus lowering blood pressure and reducing chest pain (angina).
  • Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, which helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
