Used For:

  • Treatment of partial-onset (focal) seizures in adults and children (usually ≥4 years old, depending on formulation).

  • Can be used as monotherapy or adjunct therapy with other anti-epileptic drugs.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:

  • Dizziness

  • Headache

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Fatigue or tiredness

  • Double vision or blurred vision

Serious side effects (rare):

  • Heart rhythm problems (prolonged PR interval)
