Used For:

- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): It also helps reduce excessive worrying and anxiety.
- Panic Disorder: Escitalopram is effective in managing symptoms of panic attacks.
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): It is sometimes prescribed to reduce obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:
- Nausea: This is one of the most frequently reported side effects.
- Fatigue or drowsiness: You may feel unusually tired or sleepy.
- Dry mouth: A common but manageable side effect.
- Dizziness or lightheadedness: Especially when first starting the medication.
- Sexual dysfunction: Reduced libido or difficulty with sexual performance.
Less common but more serious side effects include:
