Used For:

  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Lowers blood pressure to reduce the risk of heart-related complications.
  • Angina Pectoris: Helps reduce the frequency and severity of chest pain.
  • Post-Myocardial Infarction: May be used after a heart attack to improve survival rates.
  • Arrhythmias: Helps to control abnormal heart rhythms.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Fatigue: General tiredness or weakness.
  • Dizziness or Lightheadedness: Particularly upon standing.
  • Cold Extremities: Hands and feet may feel cold due to reduced blood flow.
  • Bradycardia: Slowed heart rate.

Serious side effects (rare):
