Used For:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (acid reflux)
  • Peptic ulcers (stomach or duodenal ulcers)
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition that causes excess stomach acid)
  • Erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus caused by acid)
  • Prevention and treatment of NSAID-associated gastric ulcers

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

Serious side effects (rare):

  • Low magnesium levels (leading to muscle spasms, irregular heartbeat)
