Used For:

  • Prevents and treats asthma and exercise-induced bronchospasm

  • Controls symptoms of allergic rhinitis (runny nose, sneezing)

  • Reduces inflammation by blocking leukotrienes (chemicals that cause allergy and asthma symptoms)

  • Not for immediate asthma attacks—used as a preventive medicine

  • Often used alongside antihistamines or inhalers

Side Effects:

  • Headache, abdominal pain

  • Dizziness, fatigue

  • Mood changes (rare but serious: agitation, depression, hallucinations)

  • Skin rash or allergic reaction (rare)

Precaution:
